Over 40 individuals participated in auditions for the 2008-09 Torero Spirit Team during the weekend of April 26th and 27th. From all who auditioned, Spirit Team Head Coach Nicole LaBarbera selected a team of some of the most talented and spirited USD students.
The audition process stretched over the course of two long and intense days, yet the Athletics Department is confident in their selections. A wide array of students is well-represented on the 2008-08 squad, with several newcomers combining with 14 returnees from the very successful 2007-08 team.
"We are looking forward to another great year in USD Athletics and we are excited to show off the talent and spirit of the new team." said Head Coach Nicole LaBarbera.
